About

Hi, I'm Michael

I started Command Advisory because I believe small business owners and families deserve an accountant who is in their corner, not someone they only hear from once a year at tax time.

I'm a CPA, a registered tax agent and a Xero Gold Partner. I work with sole traders, growing companies, family groups, SMSF trustees and individuals with rental properties and share portfolios. Whatever the size, my approach is the same: understand what you're working towards, explain things in plain English, and stay in touch through the year so there are no surprises.

I see my role as a partner in your business. That means being easy to reach, giving you straight answers, and helping you make decisions with confidence, whether that's choosing the right structure, planning for a big purchase or building the life you want for your family.

Efficient

Clear processes, modern cloud tools and quick turnarounds.

Honest

Straight advice, even when it isn't what you hoped to hear.

Reliable

Deadlines met, calls returned and no loose ends.

How we work

Getting started is simple

  1. Send an enquiry

Tell us a little about you or your business using the form below.

  2. Have a chat

We talk through where you are and where you want to be, by phone, video or in person in Ringwood.

  3. Agree the plan

You get a clear proposal setting out the work and the fees before anything starts.

  4. Partner for the long run

We take care of the compliance and check in through the year as your plans change.

Common questions

Do I need to live near Ringwood?

No. We work with clients right across Australia. Most work is done online, and you're welcome to meet in person at our Ringwood office.

Can you take over from my current accountant?

Yes. Once you engage us, we add you to our tax agent list and request your records. You don't need to have an awkward conversation.

Do I need to use Xero?

It isn't required, but as a Xero Gold Partner we can set it up, move your data across and show you how to get the most from it.

How are your fees worked out?

Fees depend on the work involved. We agree the scope and fee with you before we start, so you know where you stand.

I'm behind on my tax returns. Can you help?

Yes. We can bring overdue returns and BAS up to date and deal with the ATO on your behalf. The sooner you get in touch, the more options there usually are.

Do you help individuals as well as businesses?

Absolutely. We prepare individual returns, including rental properties, share portfolios and capital gains, as well as SMSF and family group work.
